A cross roller bearing slide is a high-precision linear guide in which cylindrical rollers are alternately arranged at 90° angles. This configuration enables backlash-free, low-friction movement with high rigidity – ideal for applications in metrology, optics, or automation.

Cross roller linear guides offer significantly higher rigidity and smoother motion with minimal backlash. Especially in applications with short strokes and high precision requirements, they outperform ball bearing guides – for example, in precision machinery or laboratory applications.

They are used wherever precise positioning, high repeatability, and compact designs are required – for example, in micro-assembly, optics, medical technology, semiconductor manufacturing, testing systems, and special-purpose machinery.
