The name Cleveland is far more than just a company name – it is the expression of a decades-long history full of technical innovation, international experience and continuous development.
The roots of our company go back to its foundation in Löffingen, Germany. The company was originally founded under the name Otto Grieser GmbH. With the sale to the American Acme Cleveland Corporation, the Cleveland brand name was introduced and later continued under the Cleveland Twist Drill Company.
Despite numerous group changes and international mergers, the Cleveland name has remained for decades – as a reliable symbol of precision, quality and technical excellence in linear technology and in mechanical engineering for dressing, profiling and grinding technology.
When the product division was up for sale again in 2011, three dedicated employees decided to take over the rights to the product and brand. At the beginning of 2012, they founded today’s Cleveland Lineartechnik GmbH – an independent, owner-managed company based in Löffingen, where the company was originally founded. Over the years, this location has been consistently maintained as a development and production site “Made in Germany”.
Today, Cleveland is more than just a name – it is the brand essence, identity and promise of quality at the same time. The brand enjoys worldwide recognition and is synonymous with reliability, precision and technological strength.
